Divisional PlayoffsChicago Bears 24 at San Francisco 49ers 32 Updated Nov 27, 2009 11:07 PM CST
49ers outlast bears 32-24
winning the turnover battle and key clock management win a sloppy game for the 9ers
The bears started this one off with a long drive, and after successfully converting a 3rd and 14 they found themselves in field goal range. Fortunately for them, DB Tarrel Brown dropped what should have been an easy interception on 3rd down and they were able to keep those three points to take the early lead.

http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/13827212

The 49ers took over and started giving the ball to their playmakers. Vernon Davis was ripping about the bears linebackers, and gore was moderately effective running the ball. The 49ers eventually punched it in after Davis took a short route off playaction, broke a tackle, and made it to the endzone. The 49ers thought they might be taking control, but just like that, hester took the ensuing kickoff 107 yards to the house to put Coach Blu back on top 10-7

http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/13827294

The 49ers tried to respond with a deep pass to Josh Morgan, who had the inside position deep downfield, but Charles Tillman made an amazing play and jumped the route for a bears interception. The bears took advantage of great field position and found the fullback in the flat for a touchdown to go up 17-7. The 49ers were able to drive down the field, but after Alex Smith overthrew a wide open Josh Morgan for a touchdown, the 9ers had to settle for a field goal and a 7 point deficit going into half.

3rd Quarter
The 49ers opened up the second half with some effective drives, but Vernon Davis got hurt early and would be out for the rest of the game, and even with the 49ers adding a field goal, forcing a Devin Hester fumble on the next kick return, they had to settle for a second field goal and still found themselves down by 1. But then on the Bears next offensive possession, the 49ers read the open forte in the flats, and took the manually controlled safety over, laid the hitstick just as he caught it, and forte coughed it up, and it was swiftly returned by Takeo Spikes for the go ahead touchdown!

http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/13827362

The 49ers defense was dominating now, and it started piling on for the bears as Patrick Willis picked off Jay Cutler on the next drive and took it to the house to improve the 49ers lead to 13.

http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/13827318

The Bears weren't giving up though, and they found Knox deep downfield, beating the 49ers bump and run and blitz attempt, this big catch set them up for a touchdown, and a two point conversion to cut the 49ers lead to just 5 with over 4 minutes left to go! All they had to do was make a defensive stop and they were in business!

The 49ers weren't having any of that foolishness though, and they drove downfield with a lot of running, and a clutch 2nd down and long conversion to crabtree, to eat up a ton of clock and a deep pass down to the 1 yard line actually gave them the chance to run down the clock for real since it was under 2 minutes in the game. The 49ers foolishly ran a toss on 1st down though, and it cost them the game sealing TD as they were hit in the backfield for a 5 yard loss. But the Bears had to use all their timeouts on the goalline stand, and they were just unable to drive the length of the field in 30 seconds with no timeouts, and the 49ers squeak this one out 32-24

GG BLu, we both had a couple bad breaks in that one for sure.

Divisional PlayoffsMinnesota Vikings 10 at Philadelphia Eagles 27 Updated Nov 27, 2009 12:50 AM CST
Trent Cole's sack/fumble before the half may have provided a heavy dose of momentum for the birds
Eagles Hold off Vikings in Second Meeting, 27-10
Advance to the NFC Championship Game
The Eagles begin the postseason taking on a team they downed 35-7 in the regular season. Everyone in the locker room knew that this wasn't going to be the same game. The Vikings went into the 2nd quarter leading 3-0. It was only a matter of time before the Eagles offense was able to get on the board. At the goal line, Donovan McNabb would walk the ball in to take a 7-3 lead. The Eagles would tack on a FG before Minnesota tried to make something happen with :20 left in the half down 10-3 and on their own 20. Trent Cole was able to pressure Brett Favre and force him into a fumble which would be recovered by the Eagles and gave the team a very short field for a score to end the half.

The Eagles received to start the half leading 17-3 when Jeremy Maclin took the kickoff return to the house for a groundbreaking score. After another Vikings turnover, the Eagles were ready to put the game away while leading 24-3. Instead Donovan tries to make a pass while getting hit and the ball floats straight to a defender. Donovan was the one to make the tackle at the PHI 2 yard line. This set up a short score for Minny to make thing 24-10. After another Eagles FG, the Eagles defense did the rest.

While collecting just 1 sack, the Eagles defense forced the Vikings into 7 turnovers (6 interceptions, 1 fumble). Quintin Mikell and Ellis Hobbs both had 2 interceptions while Sean Jones and Asante Samuel each had 1. 27-10 final. "They did some different things in this one compared to the first meeting, but I think we adjusted well. It was a hard fought game and we're fortunate to have gotten the victory. Looking forward to finding out if we will be facing the Bears or 49ers", said the Eagles defensive coordinator.

Wild Card WeekendNew England Patriots 22 at Tennessee Titans 44 Updated Nov 25, 2009 8:53 PM CST
Johnson rushed for 159 yars and 2 touchdowns on just 27 carries.
Titans Rollover the Patriots with Ease
Chris Johnson Leads Titans To Victory
Coming in to the wild card weekend the Titans barely slipped in but carried the momentum coming off a big win over the colts.

When we asked coach duran what his game plan was for the game and he replied " not make the mistakes that we made in the regular season." by that he was referring to the Team being close to dead last in turnovers.

Coin Flip: The Patriots win and elect to defer to the 2nd half.

1st Quarter: The Titans received and got the ball down to the 30 to start the drive. They would run it all day on the patriots averaging a little under 10 yards on the pats on their first drive. The drive would end with a 1 yard touchdown run for johnson with about 3:17 on the clock in the first. The kick coverage on the kickoff was perfect as the Patriots got to start from their 28 yard line. It would only take 2 plays and 30 seconds. The titans would have the ball fro the remainder of the 1st quarter.

2nd Quarter: The Titans run game would continue and that would bring out the play action pass. They where moving the ball effectively but the fake to the full back and toss to Johnson was exactly what needed to be called as Johnson took it 52 yards for a touchdown.

http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/13760979

On the Patriots pursuing drive Brady would throw a interception. The Titans Bironas would kick a 60 yard field goal. As time was winding down the patriots would try to move down the field but the titans would hold to get the ball back with all 3 time outs and a 1:30 left on the clock. The Titans would drive all the way down to the Patriots 3 and call their last time out with :15 seconds left on the clock. They would call the screen pass to washington which went for a touchdown with only :11 seconds on the clock.

http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/13761096

The patriots would run out the clock

Half Time: Score Titans 24 Patriots 7

3rd Quarter: After the second half kick off Brady would find himself in a big hole because on his first play from scrimmage in the second half he would throw a pick six to cortland finnegan.

http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/13761078

The Titans seemed to be doing the impossible but still a lot of time on the clock. Brady was looking to bounce back from the pick six on the pursuing drive but pinned on his 12 yard line due to a holding penalty on his first play from scrimmage he would throw another pick six this time to Michael Griffin.

http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/13761086

The titans had everything going from them as they had a cushion to breathe. The Patriots would try to get back into the game with a late touchdown but time also started against them as the end of the 3rd quarter came near.
The titans would finish out the 3rd quarter

4th Quarter: The Titans would continue to run as the clock would winded down the titans would get the game sealing field goal. The Patriots also got a touchdown and 2 point conversion to make it look close but the Titans would triumph over the heavily favored Patriots

Final Score: Titans 44 - Patriots 22

Wild Card WeekendMinnesota Vikings 21 at New Orleans Saints 14 Updated Nov 23, 2009 11:02 PM CST
Vikings take care of Business in New Orleans 21-14
Adrian Peterson leads the way with 220 yds and 3 TDs
The Vikings lost a heartbreaker to the Saints in the reg season and looked to avenge their loss. After a big playoff push this year they looked to find the magic they had last year in the playoffs and make a run at the title.

They kicked off and the saints were forced to punt. Favre tosses one to Percy for 60 yard gain down to the Saints 20 and AD took it from there powering in for his first td. The Saints got the ball back and Bush had some nice runs downfield but they were picked and the Vikings took back the ball, Favre completed some key 3rd down conversions and Adrian took it in again 14-0 Vikes.Saints punted again and once again Brett and AD moved down the field with deadly precison. On the 3 Brett saw Sidney open over the middle in the endzone, the ball hit his hands but bounced into the Saints and they took over on the 3 with 3 mins left in the half.Reggie Bush was lost for the game after a vicous Ben Leber hit but the Saints took it right down the field anyway. Then a 3rd down came up at the 10 and Drew Brees drilled Madeiu Williams with the ball only to have to bounce off his facemask and land in Pierre Thomas hands. 14-7 Vikes at half.

Minnesota took the ball at half and couldnt do anything with it. They were forced to punt and the Saints took the ball and made some nice plays. They were forced to punt however too. The Vikings played ball control offense but AD came up short and they punted again. The Saints marched down the field into the redzone only to have Brees throw a pick into the endzone which was returned to the 3. Then the lights went out and we had a delay with 56 seconds left in the 3rd qtr.

The lights came back on and Reggie was healed. He stood on the sideline as Adrian Peterson took the next handoff 98 yards to the house.21-7 Vikings. The Saints tried all they could in the 4th to get a quick score but they needed a long drive to finally get in the endzone. 21-14 Vikings, The Saints kicked off the ball with 3 mins left. AD was seen screaming demanding the ball to close out the game. After watching a nice lead disappear coach gator obliged and Favre fed him the rock. He ran around, through, and over Saints players, getting 4 first downs and ending the game.

Way to battle and give me a run for my money underdog. gl next season.

Now the Vikings have the matchup they wanted- a rematch against the undefeated Eagles and coach Trusion. The only way to win a title is to beat the best and thats what Minnesota faces, weve been installing a new system on offense and defense since the battering Philly gave us and its finally time to put up or shut up. Bring on Trusion

kevinmack - 19-Nov-2009 21:55
Rams have been scouting their opponents, and coming up with a game plan to keep them in it. Looking for one of their best records. STL looks to end the year at 5-7. A win or two more could have ment post season for Coach Kevinmack.

Steven Jackson will be the key to victory. As a double threat. Rams look to control the clock and the line of scrimmage. Avery, Burton and Ameodelo are clicking with Bulger.

Mark is putting up 159.6 yards a game. Giving STL a slight edge over Warner.

Both Def are giving up over 200 yards to oppnts. this year. Cardinals are worst in the league giving up 29.2 points a game. Rams are 25th while allowing 22.8

Zona wants revenge for their week 2 17-10 loss. Also to win one stinking game!

But STL is playing hot winning 3 of their last 5 games.

Bills Look to Close Out Season as Spoiler
superpunk - 18-Nov-2009 13:42
The season hasn't gone quite as they would have wanted, but the Bills have pride on the line in their season finale against the New York Jets.

On their mind first? Redemption.

"Look what we did in games 2 through 4" said recently fired coach Babymaker Jauron. "It could easily be us fighting for a playoff spot right now, or even in control of the division if things had bounced our way. Instead, they'll have to play spoiler."

Newly appointed interim coach Terrell Owens had this to say; "We feel that our division was maybe the toughest in the league, but we are looking to pull through at .500." How does he feel about their upcoming opponent, the Jets, and their QB Markez Juarez?

"They are so freaking EliManning."

I guess we'll see.

Rams looking for Revenge aginst SEAC@CKS
kevinmack - 9-Nov-2009 22:36
Meeting number 2 between the Seac@cks and your ST. LOUIS RAMS should be an exciting way to continue this DIV. battle. Sea stold the first win, with the Rams fumbling in the redzone and Mebane returning it for a 93 yard TD.

Bulger was off. And the Coaches frustration lead to bad plays and bad throws.

Rams have been practicing, and with a few wins and playing good against some tuff teams. Rams look to improve to 4-7.

Bulger and Avery have been spending extra time working on their new playbook. Steven Jackson is healthy and guarantees a 100 yard game! When pressed about this. Steven says he will sacrifice his 100 yard game for the W. But plans to get both.

Defense are going to bring the wood, put some hard hits on those candy *** seagals! looking to put someone on a stretcher or cause some turnovers! Witherspoon, Little, Laurnities, Dhal Atogwe. Long and Carriker looking to have break out games and put some points on the board!
